We are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance and Engineering team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.
Accountable to the Superintendent Engineering. This role is responsible for providing technical support to the Maintenance Execution team on Capital Equipment designs, small projects, and Asset Integrity projects.
This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our site from Perth and Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities:
- Hands-on support to the maintenance and process teams providing detailed design work across a range of mineral processing equipment.
- Preparation, and approval of engineering documentation such as technical drawings, reports, scope of works and material requisitions.
- Act as the point of contact for consultants during engineering design works.
- Ensure work is completed to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Plan execution of installations.
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines.
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:
- Bachelor qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in brownfields design and project execution.
- Familiarity with WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
- Proficiency in reading civil/structural, mechanical, and P&ID drawings.
- Experience in using AutoCAD and Inventor CAD programs is desirable.
- Practical experience in operations within a Process Plant with pumping, piping and mechanical processing equipment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite products particularly Word, Excel and MS Project.
- Experience in using SAP or any Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is beneficial.
- Current WA C class (manual) drivers’ licence.
- Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia. (Mandatory)
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
