About us
Elite Compressed Air is predominantly a service-based business although we sell compressed air equipment as well. Our commitment to a healthy relationship, expert and honest advice to our clients is our most valued contribution to the industry. We've been operating in the Newcastle area for the better part of 10 years. We're a small business and looking to grow. We prefer a quality over quantity approach to growth and are seeking individuals with similar values who are willing to develop their skills to create a brighter future for themselves and the ECA team.
Qualifications & experience
- Basic computer skills - Word, Excel, Gmail and online calanders. ECA is a paperless business. We do what we can to avoid it. This allows you to be more location independent.
- Mechanical trade certificate - Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter and Turner and Motor Mechanics are some of the trades that can slip into this role fairly easily. If you're looking at getting into a job that's a little different to your currently role, this could be for you.
- Electrical re connect/disconnect licence - Not mandatory but be willing to obtain. 10% - 20% of ECA's work is electrical based. This is a very handy licence to have, not only for this role but in your day to day life.
- Time management - Your day to day is generally added to an online calander but at times things may change, a breakdown could occur or things need changing around. ECA requires an individual who can work around these issues and manage calanders, workload and make changes when necessary.
- Feild service experience would be ideal but not mandatory.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Service and repairs of compressed air equipment - Most of our clients are in the Newcastle area. We do travel 2 - 3 hours on occasions and it is possible you may need to stay overnight somewhere, although this is rare.
- The face of the business - As you'll be the face of ECA when carrying out work on site, you'll be required to interact with our clients. This means coming to work looking and speaking the part is a large factor in being a successful technician.
- Being an organised person and keeping work tools, vehicle and workshop in a safe, clean condition. ECA takes housekeeping seriously. We're looking for someone with those same values.
- Communication with ECA staff and clients - ECA requires a technician who doesn't necessarily communicate constantly but does so when required. We believe quality communication is more important than quantity of communication. Excellent communication with our clients is something we value highly.
- Safety - Your safety matters. We want you going home to your family every night.
- ECA services screw compressors, scroll compressors, reciprocating compressor and blowers. We also carry out work on pressure vessels, breathing air equipment and other machinery. ECA carries out breakdown repairs, overhauls and some electrical faults.
Benefits
- Company vehicle
- The opportunity to grow and create financial freedom
- Potential opportunity to have profit shares in ECA
- Stages of increased salary with experience as your worth to the company increases. We'll reward technicians for their great work ethic, contributions and ability to grow ECA. We have multiple ways of rewarding employees once a good relationship and trust has been developed, including profit shares in ECA if you're the right fit in future.
- Getting paid from the moment you leave home - For organised individuals you won't always need to start your day from the workshop. You can start work from the moment you leave the house. This does depend on your location, but we can discuss in more detail in initial stages.
- Flexible hours - This means in agreement with ECA you can choose the time you want to start and the time you'd like to finish. Sometimes we need to work around our clients but more often than not you can work to your own schedule. Want to work a 4 day week? Let's see if we can make that happen..
