About the Role

We are currently looking for a qualified Fitter Machinist that wants to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our western based operation - Springvale Coal Services Operations.

Reporting to the Site Manager and Mechanical Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include

• Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of mechanical plant across all site for Springvale Coal Service operations
• Comply with the Mechanical Engineering Control Plan to ensure the safety of plant items and compliance with procedures
• Complete risk assessments, safe work method statements, equipment pre-operational check sheets and job safety analysis
• Inform supervisors of any defects to items of plant and ensure defective equipment is placed out of service
• Ensure plant is operated safely and within the design limits and obey all rules in place on site
• Communicate on health and safety items and concerns
• Complete statutory inspections as required
• Complete cleaning tasks for the CHP, CPP and overland conveyors as required
• Control room Operator for the sites.
• Wash plant and Control room operations

Suitable candidates will have

• Certificate III Engineering Mechanical
• Driver's license - essential
• Excellent work ethic and attendance record
• Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets

The following experience may be advantageous

• Industry related High Risk licences, i.e. EWP and Forklift
• Hydraulics, Pneumatics or wash plant experience
• White card
