Your New Team & Role
This role, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader forms part of our high performing Maintenance team. You will play a key role in mechanical maintenance, service, repairs and assembly of conveyor systems, structure and components. Your working hours will be 3:30pm - 2:00am, Monday - Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- General machining including the use of lathes and milling machines
- General fitting including fitment and alignment of gearboxes and motors, laser alignment etc.
- General welding
- Effectively diagnose and fault-find
- Undertake mechanical refurbishment work
- Preventative, breakdown and scheduled mechanical plant maintenance
- Lead continuous improvement solutions to reduce downtime
- Contribute to 100% Safe Behaviour & Conditions
About you
We are looking for a team player who is self-driven and possesses the following skills and experience:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 5 years’ mechanical fitting experience, ideally in a heavy industrial environment
- Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience in using workshop machinery including lathes and milling machines
- Strong commitment to safety with and a focus on quality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High risk work licence for forklift, basic rigging or dogging (highly desirable but not essential)
