Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. Job Vacancy
We are currently seeking applications for an experienced Mechanical Fitter initially engaged at Pioneer Mill in the township of Brandon. This permanent position is a day work position with overtime and some weekend work required.
Primary responsibilities:
Carrying out inspection of plant and equipment and providing condition reports
Installation and monitoring of plant and equipment
Fault-finding on plant and equipment
Ensuring control systems are operating correctly and are adjusted accurately
Carrying out maintenance and adjustments on machinery as required
Our ideal candidate will have:
Completed Certificate III Mechanical (Fitting/Maintenance)
Post trade experience in diverse heavy industry
A strong commitment to safety with involvement in safety/improvement teams
The following qualifications are highly desirable, however, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:
Dogging High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
Forklift HRWL
Overhead Crane Ticket
Welding Skills
