The opportunity
We're seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters ideally with experience working in an Underground Coal environment to join us on a permanent full-time basis as we embark on a significant transformation project for one of our clients. Due to the recent acquisition of an additional autonomous miner we have opportunities for experienced Mechanical Fitters (ideally with experience working underground) to join our growing team. In this role as Mechanical Fitter, you'll play a vital part in ensuring safety and production targets are met while upholding quality standards by maintaining the operation of mining equipment. This opportunity is based in Blackwater, QLD, and offers both FIFO and DIDO options, with a 7/7 roster and 12-hour shifts on a permanent basis.
If you have hardrock underground mining experience, the opportunity to join will be at our level 1 award; where you will be able to begin your journey of Underground Coal with learning and development opportunities available
If you are an experienced Underground Coal fitter, the opportunity will be available to join at the level 2 award. This role will recognise your expertise and will provide a generous renumeration accrodingly

- Prior mining experience underground
- Underground coal experience (board and pillar advantageous)
- Underground Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain/refresh
- Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain/refresh
- Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills
- Appropriate trade certificate
- Valid Driver's License
