THE ROLE
As a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Service Technician, you will be responsible for service, repair, commissioning and installation of industrial air compressors, receivers, dryers, filtration, air lines and ancillary equipment. Other key responsibilities include:
- Overhaul air compressors
- Mechanically maintain gearbox, pumps and associated equipment
- Maintain equipment and vehicles in the workshop
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
- Ensure the workshop is in a clean and safe environment to work in
- Carry out scheduled services and repairs in a timely manner
ABOUT YOU
We're seeking a self-motivated person with good mechanical and computer skills along with the ability to fault find hydraulic and pneumatic control systems. As a successful applicant looking for a long-term commitment, you should possess the following skills and qualities:
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification and background (minimum 5 years)
- Previous experience working on industrial equipment (DESIRABLE)
- Previous experience in a maintenance field service environment ( Service / Site based role)
- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and communicate well as part of a team
- Tickets and Licences - Drivers Licence (ESSENTIAL), Coal Board Medical (IDEAL), Standard 11 (IDEAL), Working at Heights, Working Confined Spaces, Blue/White Construction Card
