About the role
This position requires the successful candidate to perform overhaul and repairs on Locomotive wheel sets and rollingstock components.
About you
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
- Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.
- High level record keeping ability.
- Knowledge and understanding of diesel/electric locomotive engines desirable.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.
Skills and experience
- Trade qualifications (Mechanical or suitable related disciplines).
- Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance/ asset management environment preferred but not essential.
- Overhead gantry crane and doggers tickets desirable.
