The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of all fixed plant located at our Parkhurst Operations. This includes ensuring all maintenance activities are performed for a safe and reliable operation.

About The Role
As the Mechanical Fitter, you will:
- Ensure maximum equipment availability by providing effective and efficient mechanical maintenance activities, whether preventative or breakdown
- Engage with plant and equipment to ensure they are kept in optimal condition through developing work plans to effectively complete assigned jobs including arranging tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Demonstrate the ability to fault find, troubleshoot, and determine appropriate rectification plan to ensure the safety of people and plant.
- Identifying, initiate and implement plant improvement opportunities by undertaking minor project work to improve safety and plant performance.
The Requirements
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
- Gas Ticket (Desirable)
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and compressors.
- Maintenance of bulk materials handling equipment including screw conveyors, bucket elevators, rotary valves, and belt conveyors.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse faults and eliminate the cause of the faults.
