ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced and safety conscious Mechanical Fitters and additionally, Rotating Equipment Specialists, for exciting opportunities to join our team on project at Kurri Kurri NSW. Work is Monday to Saturday, at a competitive rate on a long-term contract. FIFO or DIDO opportunities available.
ABOUT YOU:
Mechanical Fitter / Rotating Specialists:
- Trade qualified fitter (Australian recognised)
- Previous experience in structural and mechanical works
- Previous experience with valves and/or pumps replacement/overhaul would be highly regarded
- Shaft and impellar alignments and ability to use laser or digital micrometers
- Fault Finding, Commissioning and Operation of Mechanical Equipment
- Machinery and Pump Installations, Machinery tuning (not mandatory), Pump Coupling Alignments
- Adjust Pump glands and Lubrication of equipment
- Installation of valves and Flange Tag Management
- Attention to equipment inspection records and suitability to the task
- Basic interpretation of drawings
- Perform torque of required bolts to specific values
- Follow methodologies as developed and issued for construction
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- Construction Industry Induction (white card or equivalent) mandatory
- Current Safe Work at Heights ticket valid within the last 3 years
- Current Confined Space Entry ticket valid within the last 3 years
- Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas construction and/or maintenance experience highly regarded.
- Right to Work in Australia (no sponsorship, sorry)
- Highest safety and quality standards
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test
- Police Check will be required prior to start
