For this new project, we are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Leader (T.A.) to join the team for 29 months with possible extension. As a Mechanical Maintenance Leader, will support the Site Operations & Maintenance (O&M) leader in monitoring the mechanical conditions of the plant, ensure proper mechanical maintenance of the gas turbines and supervise the O&M contractor activities.
The Mechanical Maintenance Leader will be responsible to:
- Monitor the operational parameters of the operating units to evaluate units’ performance and maintenance requirements.
- Support the O&M contractor in planning mechanical maintenance activities of gas turbines and BOP equipment.
- Monitor the inventory of spare parts and consumables and support in ordering them.
- Lead the planned maintenance activities and preform critical activities like Borescope and package inspections.
- Support the O&M contractor during the performance of unplanned mechanical maintenance activities mainly when working on gas turbines.
- Communicate with GE engineering back-office as needed to support in troubleshooting, RCA, modifications, and improvements of mechanical systems.
- Perform maintenance activities that are specific to GE trained personnel.
- Review operations and maintenance procedure of mechanical equipment.
- Provide feedback to GE management for Continuous Improvement Program.
- Recommend training programs to O&M contractors as needed.
- Produce any reports that maybe needed by GE management.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent knowledge / experience.
- GE or equivalent manufacturer comprehensive training program in mechanical servicing of gas turbines.
- Substantial experience in mechanical servicing of gas turbines.
Desired Characteristics
- Prior experience in Operation, maintenance, commissioning of gas turbines.
- Prior experience in Power Plant operations and Maintenance.
- Prior experience with Aero gas turbines is an advantage.
- German Language is an advantage.
