Wood is currently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor at BassGas in Lang Lang..
The successful candidate will be responsible to lead work crews to safely deliver discipline activities in compliance with the client and Wood instructions using current best practice techniques on site.
- Supervision of small-to-medium sized, multi skilled mechanical crews with multiple work assignments and locations
- Instructing the work crew on job scope and checking their work methods, output, punctuality, and job progress
- Implementing and maintaining a safe working environment adhering to correct work practices and procedures
- Responsible for base discipline site activities and ensure safe and efficient execution of tasks
- Plans and organise work activities, in line with project schedules, in a timely manner to ensure information, materials, tools and equipment are available to avoid minimal disruption to workforce
- Responsible for accurate site progress reporting, ensuring accurate capture of direct and non-productive man hours
- Identify any opportunities / issues in a timely manner
- Responsible for creating the necessary permits and risk assessments for work activities
- Ideally 5-8 years minimum experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Demonstrated proficiency as a Mechanical Supervisor
- Relevant Mechanical qualifications
- Offshore qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office and Excel)
