About the Role
An opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Supervisor in Gladstone QLD for Downer’s Industrial Energy business unit reporting to the Shutdown Manager. The ideal candidate will be involved in duties such as:
- Supervising a team of 10 people
- Overseeing Downer’s steel fabrication works including welding
- Proficient in reading and understanding drawings
- Actively involved with quality assurance, inspection test plans and master document registration
- Allocating jobs and the servicing of mechanical / steel works
- Assisting with the control of internal hire equipment
About You
- Mechanical trade background – preferred
- Previous supervisory experience within a workshop environment
- Safety focused individual
- Excellent communicator, be able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Be able to plan and coordinate tasks within what can be a changing environment
