Clough is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development, near Dongara, Western Australia. The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

Rewarding opportunities exist for experienced Mechanical Technicians to join the project team working on a 20&8 roster (bus-in/bus-out from Perth, or DIDO from Dongara).

Who you are

Your role will include:

Having specific knowledge in Commissioning Oil & Gas Plants, specifically in Rotating Equipment which includes but is not limited to:

• Gas Compression experience
• Reciprocating Compressors and Ancillary Equipment - installation, setup, shaft alignment, LO flushing
• Centrifugal Compressors/Gas or Steam Turbine experience will be considered
• Gas Treatment Plant/ Processing Equipment: Amine CO2 Removal & MEG Dewpoint Control
• Pumps: API single & multistage
• Air Compressors, Air Driers & Nitrogen Generation
• Tanks and Pressure Vessels
• Water Systems: Firewater, Produced Water, Reverse Osmosis, Chemical Dosing
• Piping Systems: Process, Utilities and Pipelines
• Condition Monitoring knowledge is a bonus

General tasks and required experience:

• Documentation and recording of mechanical testing data such as vibration/temperature/sound data collection, red mark up of drawings, understanding of specifications and engineering/process changes (ECRs, MOCs).
• Ensure that transport, tools, plant and equipment are maintained in proper working order and not abused.
• Carry out other duties as and when required at the direction of supervisor or lead.
• Interface closely with construction and vendor personnel ensuring that activities are undertaken in a safe manner.
• Ensure testing is of a standard so as to avoid quality and safety breaches.
• Assure commissioning ITR completion and tracking is maintained to a high level of quality and accuracy.
• Actively eliminate and/or report workplace hazards.
• Participate actively in safe-starts and toolboxes.
• Understand and use JHAs, Walk the Line, work permitting and other job relevant procedures and standards.
• Assist in development of JHAs
