The RoleReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the role of Mechanical Tradesperson will assist in the provision of mechanical services including undertaking programmed and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of water industry assets.
Responsibilities- Assist with the monitoring, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater assets
- Identification and repair of mechanical faults
- Liaise with operational staff as required to ensure plant operational performance is maintained and critical process issues are diagnosed and resolved
- Monitor and maintain mechanical water and wastewater related assets
- Ensure WHS practices are maintained
- Responsible for ensuring relevant Work Order data is captured through recording of information on electronic devices (iPad & iPhone)
- Must hold a mechanical trade qualification and have experience in relevant works
- Well-developed communication skills
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements including hazard identification
- Blue/White Card
- Experience with the maintenance and operation of fluid transfer equipment including pumps, piping, valves would be beneficial
- Dedication to safety and safe work practices
- Experience in relevant online Work Order Management system beneficial
- Full clean NSW driver’s licence
