We are seeking Mechatronic and Electronic Engineers to join our growing team and help out on some exciting projects.

Projects worked on range from Autonomous Vehicles for Mining, Robotics Devices for Resources, Rugged IoT sensors for Industry, IoT Bicycle Products for Consumers and so much more, all undertaken in-house to extremely high quality within a growing multidisciplinary team. 

Clients often come to us with the most unique of challenges, that others have not been able to solve. Either a high potential product not quite hitting the mark, or a completely new novel idea needing to be proven and commercialised. 

We use state of the art engineering design and analysis software in all domains, coupled with a broad range of industry experience. 

We flesh out ideas, prove designs virtually, and then make physical protoypes. We then test these, break them, iterate and improve, and its all done in-house. 

We have high-end CNC manufacturing equipment, as well as an Electronics Pick and Place Assembly line, allowing for the fastest possible prototyping as well as the production of high-quality parts for our clients and projects. 

We also have 3D printing facilities, workshop fabrication facilities, laboratory testing type facilities, an in-house anodising laboratory and injection moulding; all of which have become part of our day-to-day work at Element Engineering.

We are looking for Mechatronic and Electronic Engineers to work with our growing Electronic, Mechatronic and Control Team to create the best possible innovations, as fast as possible, for our clients. 

As part of the role, you will be undertaking the following, depending on core skillset:

• Conceptual design of new products, or improvements to products and systems
• Design of testing aparatus and proceedures for testing and improvement 
• Hands on undertaking of controlled tests for proof of concepts
• Interface with workshop staff and suppliers to manufacture and improve the design for manufacture of products being developed
• Productionisation of proof of concept designs, to create robust high value products 
• Interface with clients to understand their key challenges and propose unique cutting edge, high value solutions
• Work with interdiciplinary team members such as Mechanical and Firmware Engineers

A Senior Role can be offered to those possessing the skill and aptitude. This will involve:

• Technical project management with stakeholders and team members
• Mentoring of junior high quality talented engineers 

This position gives you the opportunity to join our growing, highly talented team of engineers and technicians working across a diverse range of cutting edge projects.

You will work closely with our Lead Electronics Engineer with over 30 years of military, telecommunication and IoT product design and manufacturing experience, who will get you upto speed, and providing your own unique value, as soon as possible.

With a huge range of projects, high end equipment and dedicated facilities, this role is not for the feint hearted, but will be highly rewarding, with every day being different and challenging.

Salary will be negotiable dependant on skills brought to the team. We are looking for the best people, to help us take innovation and local manufacturing to the next level! 

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• Highly motivated team player who lives and breathes cutting edge technology, design and productionisation
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, Electrical or equivalent 
• Have at least 2 years experience working in a design role, or equivalent extracurricular/personal experience
• Proficient in use of engineering design programs such as SolidWorks 3D CAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical and/or Altium Designer at a professional level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills 

Desirable but not essential:

• Skilled in PCB layout, circuit simulation, and other electrical/electronic and mechanical analysis methods
• Skilled in Control Systems design and PLC programming
• Skilled in coding for Firmware and/or Testing in C and/or Python respectively

Successful candidates MUST:

• Present a portfolio of professional or personal engineering design work completed showing your specific skills and unique value you can bring to Element Engineering
