The Role
  
Join an enthusiastic and team in Eastern Adelaide office as a Medical Device Kit Assembler.
  
What does a Medical Kit Device Assembler do?
  
This is a hands-on position that involves putting together the surgical kits that get sent to the hospital to be used during surgery. For every surgery, the surgeon requires a specific set of medical instruments and tools to carry out the operation. A kit may include orthopaedic implants, surgical power tools or reusable instruments. Post-surgery, the kit gets sent back to the Kit Room where the team checks off the items and makes sure that they are safe to be reissued.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carefully assemble the Medical Device kits that are to be sent to the hospital.
  • Inspect outgoing and incoming kit instrumentation and identify when a replacement and/or repair is necessary.
  • Maintain stock and kit documentation.
  • Liaise with Medical Device Sales Representatives, Surgeons, Doctors and Nurses.
  • Maintain working database of surgeon’s preference for preferred kit.
  • Work in a team to ensure medical kits are ready for dispatch and arrive at the hospital on time.
  
This is 6-month contract initially with possibility for extension OR conversion into a full-time position within the business. Areas for career progression include but are not limited to, Product Development, Research & Design, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance/Control, Sales and Clinical Support.
  
About You
  
  • Bachelors in Biomedical/Medical Engineering or Health/Science related field.
  • Tech-savvy.
  • Enjoys work that is hands-on and technical.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
