Program Manager, Fellowships (APS Level 6) in the Reader Services Section of the Engagement Branch. The engagement period will be for four months from mid-June to late-October 2024.This is a critical role in the small team that manages the day-to-day operations of the National Library’s busy Fellowships program. During the appointment period the successful candidate will manage the application assessment and selection process for the 2025 NLA Fellowships, Creative Arts Fellowships, NLA Scholarship and Asia Study Grants programs, including acting as secretariat for each of the selection committees. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing the residency programs of Fellows and Scholars scheduled to undertake their research at the Library, including the organisation of public lectures by Fellows.The role will require occasional evening work for Fellowship lectures and performances that are scheduled on a weeknight.We are looking for someone who exercises sound judgement and has the ability to flexibly deal with competing priorities. You will have good written and communication skills and the experience to communicate with stakeholders at all levels confidently.
To succeed in this role- It is mandatory that you hold qualifications or equivalent experience in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences or information management.
- Secretariat experience is desirable.
