Join the esteemed team at Metro North Health as a full-time Service LineMedical Director, working in partnership with the Service Line Nursing Lead, overseeing the Caboolture Emergency Department, Kilcoy Hospital, and Woodford Correctional Facility, as well as the Caboolture and Bribie Island Satellite Hospitals. About the Role The responsibilities include managing Caboolture Emergency Department, Kilcoy Hospital, Woodford Correctional Facility Health Services, and providing clinical oversight for the Minor Injury and Illness Centres at both Caboolture and Bribie Island Satellite Hospitals, as well as the Day Medical Infusion Unit at Bribie Island. Reporting to this role are two new Clinical Directors: one will oversee Kilcoy Hospital, Woodford Health Services, and the Caboolture and Bribie Island Satellite Hospitals in partnership with an Assistant Nursing Director; the other will focus on the Emergency Department in partnership with an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager. Key Responsibilities Leadership: Provide expert guidance in Emergency Medicine and work in partnership with the Service Line Nursing lead. Strategic Planning: Engage in strategic planning to deliver efficient and sustainable models of care. Operational Management: Oversee the management of Emergency Departments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to clinical standards through audits and quality control processes. Clinical Duties: Offer specialist clinical services and supervise medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Education, Training, and Research: Lead the training and development of junior medical staff and maintain the accreditation of medical training positions. Foster clinical research within the Service Line. About You Qualifications: Registered as a Senior Medical Officer with specialised experience in Emergency Medicine. Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in change management and able to effectively handle clinical and operational complexities. Attributes: Committed to patient-centred care, with a strong focus on teamwork, integrity, and high performance. Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and cultures to enhance service delivery and patient care.
