The Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Tasmania (PMCT) seeks a highly motivated and suitably qualified person to join the PMCT team in Tasmania’s Nort-West region to provide support for medical doctors in their prevocational years.
The MEA will, in collaboration with other personnel, facilitate the education, feedback, evaluation, supervision and support of prevocational doctors.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (desirable: allied health, nursing, health and/or education)
- Demonstrated record of success in the facilitation of effective teaching and learning programs
- Understanding of health services, systems and processes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently yet function effectively as a team member
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
Features:
- Part time – 11.4 hours per week (0.3 FTE)
- Based at North-West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital
- Contract through 31 January 2025 with renewable options
- Flexibility to work 2-3 days per week including Tuesdays. Hours/day negotiable
- Pay scale dependent on qualifications and experience
- Salary package up to $30,000 (grossed up) per year
- Salary package meals/entertainment $5,000 (grossed up) per year plus other salary package opportunities
- Salary range $100,000 - $130,000pa FTE
