DNA Nursing are currently sourcing a RN2, Clinical Nurse Consultant to work with a Medical Emergency Team at a large public hospital in Canberra. The position reports directly into the Director of Nursing and you will be working in collaboration with intensive care to provide a frontline Medical Emergency response to patients experiencing acute deterioration. The position will work a rotating roster of AM, PM, nights and weekend shifts.

Job Description:

• Deliver high-quality clinical care as part of the MET
• Serve as a nurse on the ICU Outreach Team
• Collaborate with ward nursing staff to identify and manage critically ill patients
• Offer nursing clinical advice, support, and education to ward staff caring for critically ill patients.
• Maintain professional communication with healthcare professionals, patients, and the public
• Perform other duties appropriate to this level of classification that contribute to the organization's operation.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA Registration
• Available for weekend and after hours
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of NSQHS
• National Police Check
• Prior to commencement, candidates will be required to obtain a compliance certificate from OMU
