Job description

Tired of banging your head against a brick wall? We get it. Apart from anything else, on-the-job concussion isn’t a good look for a gun MESO. So, step away from the wall and into your dream job where you’ll be supported by a team of people that know and understand the job as well as you do. We’ll also not only ask for your ideas, but act on them.

What will you do as a Medical Emergency Services Officer? You name it.

As a MESO, you need to be able to deliver Emergency Management and frontline health care to a site-based workforce. We are currently looking for an experienced MESO for a FIFO role from Perth on an ongoing 2/2 roster with potential transition to permanent for the right candidates. Accommodation and meals are provided on site.

You will:

  • Maintain site Emergency Response Vehicles and Equipment
  • Respond to and manage site based incident response
  • Manage and train the sites Emergency Response Team
  • Provide first response medical treatment
  • Daily management of the site medical centre (site dependent)
  • Management of poison permit and maintain medical stock
  • Conduct random Drug and Alcohol Testing on site and manage breathalyser equipment
  • Ensure correct reporting of all required medical and OHS statistics
  • Promote various site health initiatives
  • Assess and coordinate the treatment of injuries and illnesses on site
  • Maintain accurate Injury Reports and treatment records

For a start, your values should match ours:

  • Be curious. Never be afraid to do or try something new.
  • Be a legend. Make a promise, keep it. Make a mistake, own it.
  • Be indispensable. Add value wherever and whenever you can.
  • Be the difference. Celebrate what makes you and Epigroup unique.

Beyond that, you must be creative yet organised, collaborative yet self-motivated, serious about what you do but fun to work with, just like us. And with that, you’ll need:

  • Cert 3 Mines Emergency Response and Rescue / Public Safety
  • Paramedic Degree or Nursing Degree with unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Drug and Alcohol Tester
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as an ESO/MESO
  • Exploration experience desirable

You’ll notice we didn’t mention anything about your age, gender, ethnicity or background. That’s because we’re an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity. It’s the key to innovation.

In return, you’ll get all the training, support and autonomy you need to do what you do best, along with the rewards you deserve. Ready to start putting your head to better use?
