This is a Fixed Term Full Time position to cover Parental Leave for 12 months within the Medical Imaging Department. As part of the Division of Surgery, this position exists to provide a quality MRI imaging service to patients and referrers. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, qualified Medical Imaging Technologist to the join the team at the RCH. The successful candidate will be expected to perform in a Grade 2 capacity as per the Job Description and will have Level 1 MRI accreditation (ASMIRT) and have formal or working towards Post Graduate MRI qualifications.
Previous Paediatric experience in MRI would be highly desired but not essential.
The Royal Children’s Hospital, together with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) have Siemens Sola 1.5T and 3T Trio units in a purpose built MRI clinical and research facility. In the operating theatre suite there is an Imris Verio. A Siemens MR/PET is part of the suite of equipment, making the RCH a state of the art MRI facility.
The position requires participation in the weekend and after hour’s rosters as well as some on-call after a suitable training period.
Your skills and experience:
- Diploma or degree in Applied Science/Diagnostic Radiography as outlined for eligibility for membership of ASMIRT
- Demonstration of appropriate experience within the Medical Imaging field.
- Current membership of AHPRA
