Medical Imaging (BMI) provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine. These are performed by a team of highly skilled radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, nurses and support staff who ensure that all patients have access to quality services
About the roleThe
Grade 2 Radiographer/MIT supports the Grade 3 Radiographer / MIT in the management of the X-ray service 24/7.Duties of the Radiographer include but are not limited to:
- Independently operate all diagnostic imaging equipment including information systems (RIS/PACS/Firstnet,BOSS)
- Participate in 24/7 'ABC roster' which includes being available for reasonable overtime and out of hours recall and shift duty.
- Operate all X-ray systems across Barwon Health including logging of equipment faults with imaging vendors.
- Perform advanced X-ray examinations including paediatric imaging
- Display leadership by example and experience
- Assist with on-going practical supervision and training of students, and Grade 1 Radiographers.
