Form of work As the Medical Physicist - Diagnostic Imaging, you will participate in quality control programs and radiation protection programs with minimal supervision for all Diagnostic Imaging modalities to ensure optimum performance and safe radiation levels. These modalities may include general x-ray, computed radiography (CR), digital radiography (DR), dental x-ray, fluoroscopy and interventional x-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, ultrasonography and nuclear medicine technology, including positron emission tomography (PET). Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme: Eligible health practitioners who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 (pro rata) incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme. What we are looking for: High level knowledge, expertise and skill in physics. Ability to apply scientific knowledge to solve practical problems. Ability to contribute positively to achieving defined goals in a team environment. High level oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
