About the Opportunity
You will work in partnership with the Clinical Director of the Venesection department and Clinpath Pathology staff and provide assessment and management of patients requiring Therapeutic Venesections. You will practice at the standard acceptable for a NATA accredited laboratory.
Duties:
- Your role and duties will encompass all aspects of managing patients requiring Therapeutic Venesections;
- Embrace new technology and optimize the use of information technology within a modern laboratory setting;
- Participate in the RCPA IQA framework, working collaboratively with pathologist colleagues to standardize the reporting of pathology specimens at Clinpath Pathology;
- Participation in the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia Quality Assurance Program, including the RCPA IQA framework for quality and service turnaround;
- Continuous professional development with participation within internal / external education meetings.
Applicants should possess the following:
- Medical registration with AHPRA (mandatory);
- Current medical indemnity insurance (mandatory);
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting within the last 5 years, including General Practice and/or hospital;
- A high degree of flexibility and the ability to prioritise for the benefit of the business, better patient care, and excellent service;
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills;
- The ability to work in a team, good communication skills, collegiality and flexibility are essential;
- Behave in a manner consistent with the Sonic Core Values;
- Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and Clinpath ‘Our Values’; and
- Evidence of COVID 19 vaccination (including booster).
