Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing


The Medical Radiation Scientist provides a high-quality imaging service which is patient focussed on a routine and emergency basis, in accordance with the acceptable professional practices, standards and policies of the Western Sydney Local Health District and the Code of Conduct.
 
The Medical Radiation Scientist works collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning implementation, assessment, and evaluation of care within the unit.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Bachelor or equivalent in Diagnostic radiography/Medical radiation Science
Registration: Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. (MRPB) -  License: ( 114 EPA) NSW

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated extensive experience in Cardiovascular procedures.
  2. Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
  3. Demonstrated excellent communication, effective interpersonal and organisational skills.
  4. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
  5. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
  6. Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem solving, formulating new approaches and implementing comprehensive change programs and improvement strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes.
  7. Be willing to carry out a range of radiographic duties and participate in shift work, on call duty, and overtime as required.
  8. Demonstrated understanding in implementation and evaluation of quality improvement projects.
