We are a small but busy rural General Practice called Goldsmith Street Surgery.
We are a well established family owned and run practice.
We have a very caring approach with our patients, and a great team environment.
There are 3 GPs in the practice and one Practice Nurse. We also have onsite Dietitian, Audiology, Sleep Clinic and Psychologist.
The practice uses Medical Director and Pracsoft software.
About the role
We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced and busy environment.
The successful candidate will have a high level of organisational skills, attention to detail and will thrive under time pressure. Ability to show initiative, & flexibility are also a requirement of the role. The role requires the ability to think ahead and think 'outside the square'.
The role involves email correspondence with patients, digital filing and organisation of medical records, as well as the usual scheduling of patient appointments and taking payments for consults. It will involve attending regular Team Meetings, checking billings for correctness, and general organisation of reception.
The practice uses Medical Director and Pracsoft software. Prior experience is not essential but is desired.
The hours are part-time and may involve weekends (Saturday mornings) on a rotating roster.
The hours will be 12-16 hours per week, with the days being somewhat negotiable dependant on availability of the other receptionists
Skills and experience
High level of organisation, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
High level of IT experience in particular various email platforms, and Word. Medical Director and Pracsoft experience would be beneficial but can be learnt.
Experience with some form of Medical Reception is extremely desirable.
Flexibilty and the attitude to get the job completed each day in a very efficient way.
Ability to learn on the run and to show initiative.
