Medical Receptionist/AdministrationTeam Member

16 hrs per Fortnight – Permanent Part – time position and 

31 hrs per fortnight   - Fixed term Part time until 31/08/2024

Total Hours 37

Some Saturday work required

$29.58 per hour

  • Fantastic opportunity to join the ERH Outpatient Services Administration team
  • Small friendly team with a great team environment
  • Front of house Medical Reception
  • Work hours are between 07:30 and 17:30 and some Saturdays (0730-1600) as rostered
  • Leave cover for the Reception/Administration team as rostered
  • Work from the ERH Medical Consulting Suites and Cancer and Wellness Centre as rostered 

Applications are sought from suitably experienced and qualified Medical Receptionists/Administration Assistants to join the Medical Consulting Suites team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meet and greet clients, answer phone calls, make and change appointments
  • Process payments from clients for services provided
  • Liaise with patients to make appointments with various departments at Echuca Regional Health including Operating Theatre, Pre-operative and Admission, Pathology and Imaging
  • Prepare and maintain waiting, meeting, treatment and counselling rooms in a tidy and presentable condition
  • Preparation/reconciliation of daily banking, Medicare/HIC claims and records.

This position may at times rotate between the reception and administration area within the Medical Consulting Suites and Cancer and Wellness Centre as rostered and report to the Medical Suites Manager.  The Medical Receptionist may be requested to perform other duties, as reasonable and appropriate, from time to time.

The positions require completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
