It’s why we are shaping patient care for the future, working along the whole experience to give hope to billions of lives across the world.What you’ll doAs Medical Science Liaison, you will provide actionable information that enhances the value and appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products to internal stakeholders; respond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balanced clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products and services and develop appropriate clinical and scientific information that clinically differentiates AstraZeneca's products.This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Medical Science Liaison Manager. You will engage in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals and other external stakeholders (payers, regulators etc) consistent with Medical Affairs objectives. This role is to be based out of Sydney.Key Responsibilities:Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare professionals and other key external stakeholdersMaintaining clinical/scientific expertise and being a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholdersScientific leadership and discussion with key medical and scientific experts delivering scientific informationEffectively identify, gather, analyse, synthesise, and communicate relevant new knowledge about the external environment to internal stakeholdersContribute to the development and provide project leadership/ management of the therapeutic area Medical PlanParticipate in brand strategy, clinical development, strategic planning, and internal projects based on external stakeholder perspectivesIdentify pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators in alignment with Medical PlanAdhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements, including Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.To be successful you will ideally have:Experience in medical education, as a medical affairs professional or AcademicDemonstrated successes in building strong external and internal relationships through strong communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills, along with self-driven motivation to strive and achieveStrong scientific background, including an advanced degree in Science, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing or equivalentDemonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences including external expertsStrong teamwork and collaboration skills and demonstrated project/team/cross-functional leadershipExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to self-manageThorough knowledge of regulatory environmentPrevious industry experience within Respiratory or as an MSL are highly valuedWhy AstraZeneca?At AstraZeneca we’re dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
