What you’ll do
Join our oncology medical team and be part of fulfilling our ambition to be world leaders in oncology. We are already the fastest growing team within AstraZeneca and across the industry, and there are countless new indications and targets in our game-changing pipeline. We deliver this value through launch excellence, commercial effectiveness and maximising the lifecycle. By leveraging our commercialised portfolio we are confident we can change the practice of medicine and redefine cancer treatment.

We are currently looking for a Senior/Medical Science Liaisonbased in Sydney or Melbourne to join our oncology team in a full time, permanent capacity. You will provide actionable information to key clinicians that enhances the value and appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products to internal stakeholders; respond to customer inquiries to ensure focused and balanced clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate use of AstraZeneca's products and services and develop appropriate clinical and scientific information that clinically differentiates AstraZeneca's products.

Essential for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (ex: Medicine, Pharmacy or disease related science)
• Experience as a MSL or Senior MSL from the pharmaceutical industry
• Extensive knowledge of oncology disease area and treatment with capability to work across different solid tumour therapy areas
• Established relationships with relevant oncology KOL’s
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills 
• Excellent project management skills and presentation skills
• High level analytical and conceptual thinking
• Strong leadership
• Completed Medicines Australia Code of Conduct training (up to date with Edition 19)

Desirable for the role

• Advanced degree eg Master’s degree/PhD/PharmD/MBA in a scientific discipline

• Experience in prostate, bladder and/or gynaecological cancers

• Knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory developments

• Experience in product launch or strategy development and execution
