Job description

This small, dedicated team currently service over 100 members and stakeholders by overseeing organisational priorities and policy development and drives continued development in SA for their sector.  The role of Membership and Sponsorship Coordinator is an essential part of the growth and development of the organisation and important part of the communications, administration and marketing function.
  
Reporting to the Communications Executive and closely collaborating with the CEO the position requires a professional who can provide comprehensive end to end membership and sponsorship support services to prospective members and existing members along with the facilitation of new sponsors and sponsorship events.
  
What the role looks like day to day…
This position is largely responsible for ensuring membership numbers are retained and increased on an annual basis along with the management of the entire administrative tasks associated with membership and sponsorship functions including;    
  
Membership functions;

  • Drive member engagement and retention through innovative strategies and personalised communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement membership growth initiatives.
  • Be the face of the organisation, representing the company at industry events and functions.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of member communications.
  • Liaise with external accountant on membership and sponsorship financial matter.
  • Ensure membership fee structure is updated as required.
  • Coordinate membership and sponsorship meetings with the CEO.
  • Take membership and sponsorship enquires and provide a positive first impression.  
Administrative functions;
  • Responsible for end-to-end membership and sponsorship administration.
  • Professional collaboration with internal staff, members, government representatives, sponsors and on behalf of the CEO and the organisation.
  • Maintaining the membership database / CRM systems of members and stakeholders.
  • Provide reporting on membership statistics.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure they informed where relevant.
  • Support the events team with various coordination of events and functions.
  • All administrative related tasks associated with membership.
Who we are looking for…
We are looking for applicants who have experience with stakeholder relationship management working in a membership organisation or regulatory agency and experience with a broad range of administrative functions. 
  
Ideally this person will need to have a proven track record in event and meeting coordination along with a high level of administrative skills and abilities to manage the end to end membership function for the company.
  
You will demonstrate superior time management and CRM / database management skills along with advanced computer literacy skills including Word and Excel. 
  
We will be looking at high levels of organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication and professional writing skills. 
  
Details of what we will be looking for;
  • Experience managing broad range of office administration functions.
  • Proven experience in membership management within a professional association or similar setting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of expenses
  • Exceptional diary management skills including organisation of various meetings.
  • Demonstrable communication with professional writing skills.
  • Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field.
