At The Memorial Hospital we realise how hard you’ve studied to get to this point. Taking the next step in your career is an important milestone. With us you can kick start your employment as an early career nurse or midwife through our comprehensive and individually tailored program. With full time or part time options available (minimum 0.8 FTE), our 12-month program is coupled with an additional Consolidation Year, to further support your transition to practice and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.

The Memorial Hospital, where improving lives means more.The Memorial Hospital has a long and proud tradition of providing outstanding private healthcare in North Adelaide. Established as a memorial to veterans of World War I, The Memorial Hospital has served the community since 1920. Our landmark heritage building is situated in the picturesque parklands, within one kilometre of Adelaide’s CBD and within walking distance of Adelaide Oval.
The Memorial Hospital is committed to providing the highest possible standards of patient care, with 100 beds, Critical Care Unit and Medical Officers rostered on-site 24/7
In collaboration with our specialists, The Memorial Hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialties including, but not limited to, general medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat surgery), orthopaedics, paediatrics, plastics and reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation (inpatient and day).

Enrolled NurseEnrolled Nurses at ACHA perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of registered nurses. Some of the tasks that you may be responsible for, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, include caring for a group of patients, patient admission and discharge, medication administration, wound care, pre and post-operative care and liaising with medical staff and other health professionals. You will have the opportunity to continually develop, improve and promote best evidence-based practice.When it comes to our Graduate Program – we’ve got you!We know that you are passionate about nursing and that’s why it is important to us to have a graduate program that sets us apart and provides you with lots of opportunities.
