The Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team at the Mackay Community Health Centre are seeking applications for a Mental Health ACT Delegate to join their team on a tempoary basis.

Your opportunity
The Mental Health Act Delegate ensures that accurate and secure client records, systems and registers are completed, maintained and stored in accordance with the Mental Health Act 2016 and Chief Psychiatrist policies. They also scrutinise and monitor Mental Health Act 2016 documents and forms to identify errors and return forms to appropriate clinicians for remedial action and utilise knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 to provide advice to Mental Health staff across the district / network regarding the interpretation, application and operation of the Act.
About the Team
Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service
The Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the MHHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised Mental Health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex Mental Health problems. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented and are provided in a variety of settings including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals and emergency departments.
Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team
Staff members of the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team, work within a multi-disciplinary team framework to deliver high quality services safely and with a robust culture of continuing improvement. Staff work collaboratively with each other and with consumers, their families/carers and external service providers.
