The Role

The Mental Health and Wellbeing (MH&W) Branch was recently established and is the principal lead to align MH&W programs, policies and services across the Defence Enterprise, and acts as the catalyst for change to achieve improvements in workforce wellbeing. As a member of the MH&W Program Management Office (PMO), you will contribute to the design, delivery and implementation of MH&W programs.
As the MH&W Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing, leading and reporting on MH&W program/project progression to Director PMO.
- Managing respective MH&W project managers and associated projects.
- Handing over delivery to external areas and ensure monitoring occurs in consultation with Director Monitoring and Assurance.
About our Team
The Mental Health and Wellbeing (MH&W) Branch was recently established and is the principal lead to align MH&W programs, policies and services across the Defence Enterprise, and acts as the catalyst for change to achieve improvements in workforce wellbeing. The Branch is situated within the People Strategy Organisation and comprises of an inter-disciplinary team focused on improving the MH&W of the Defence and Veteran community. The MH&W PMO is responsible for directing, leading and reporting on MH&W program progression and reform and prioritising and sequencing MH&W programs in consultation with the Services (Army, Navy and Air Force), other Defence Groups and the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide (RCDVS) Taskforce PMO.

- A proven ability to provide strategic support and advice to Senior Leadership.
