AddressOn behalf of our client in NSW we are seeking a passionate Social Worker/Mental Health Clinician for a 12-week fixed-term contract with potential for extension. Providing a high level clinical social work practice to improve the health and wellbeing of consumers of the Mental Health Inpatient Services. Including the exercise of independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high level clinical social work practice to improve the health and wellbeing of consumers of the Mental Health Inpatient Services. Including the exercise of independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills in the provision of clinical care and operate independently with minimum direct supervision to provide a high-quality clinical service
- Participate in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services to promote effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery and high-quality client care
- Provide a recovery focused and trauma informed social work service to Mental Health inpatient consumers and significant others
- Participate in clinical/practice supervision. Provide clinical supervision and support to level 1 and 2 health professionals, technical and support staff
- Demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal people
About You
- Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Extensive Mental Health Social Work knowledge and experience, clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective, strong and professional community networks
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice
- Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain
Remuneration: up $60-65 p/h + Super | Travel allowance + Accommodation provided
