About the client:
Founded in 2013 with a focus on providing recovery-based care for people experiencing a wide range of Mental Health challenges. Our client provides private services, as well as working with private health insurers to deliver hospital substitution programs. Delivering services across in-person consultations, telehealth, and in-home outreach, both to individuals and groups
Our multi-disciplinary model includes psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and registered nurses, under one roof.
We are currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician's to join our brand-new team at Bundaberg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an average of up to 6 client consults per 8-hour day.
- Undertake intake assessments using the bio-psychosocial and initial assessment tools.
- Deliver ongoing evidence-based interventions to clients and their families as defined by the needs determined in the initial assessment.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with other clinicians, schools, employers etc. to enhance interventions and the well-being of the client.
- Develop, review, and close treatment plans in partnership with the clients and their identified supports
- Assess, monitor, and manage the client’s Mental Health and wellbeing (including physical health concerns) and risks; and collaborate with other health professionals, partner organisation and stakeholders as required
- Administer and facilitate psychometric testing as clinically indicated
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical and team meetings and case conferences that contribute to high-quality outcomes for consumers and their families and carers as delegated by your manager.
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through a commitment to professional development and active learning within the team.
- Plan and participate in training and secondary consultation as required
- Write reports as required for internal/external use i.e. assessment formulation, incident reports, funding body reports, and court hearings.
Mandatory requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a psychologist or provisionally registered psychologist, registered nurse, social worker, or occupational therapist
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive Mental Health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services.
- Understanding of the biological, psychological, and social underpinnings of Mental Health
- Ability to work with autonomy and as an integral member of an established multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including familiarity with multiple computer programs, and the ability to produce well-written reports.
- A current Drivers Licence
