Your new team
Orygen Specialist Program, a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides Mental Health services to young people aged 15-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.
Our Eating Disorders Stream provides evidence-based interventions to young people experiencing severe Eating Disorders, and may present with a range of co-morbid Mental Health issues.
About your new role:
Provide high-quality clinical care based on clinical experience working with young people and their families/carers
Work as part of an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team
Manage and undertake Mental Health and risk assessment, psychological treatment, formulation, individual service plans, crisis intervention, family work and systems containment, documentation of client’s progress in client files, discharge summaries and contact sheets
Provision of case management and/or family work to selected clients and associated documentation
Nurses will be required to undertake physical assessment and medical monitoring of clients
About You:
Experience in clinical practice within the Mental Health field, including young people experiencing Eating Disorders
Experience and expertise in providing acute Mental Health care management and/or eating disorder management
Ability to develop, implement and evaluate client-centred individual service plans, risk assessments and diagnostic formulations
Knowledge of the rationale and evidence for early intervention in mental illness
