The Position
Position Title: Mental Health Clinician - HOPE Program Classification: RPN3 Grade 3 Year 1 - Year 4 (NP81-NP74); OT Grade 2 Year 1 - Year 4 (YB20-YB24); SW Grade 2 Year 1 - Year 4 (YC42-YC45) Salary per hour (exc. super): $43.68 - $55.87 Hours per fortnight: 64 hours Employment Status: Permanent Part-time Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination
Role Description
The HOPE (Hospital Outreach Post-Suicide Engagement) Program provides support for people at the point of hospital discharge who are identified as at-risk of suicide or those who express serious suicidal ideation. The aim of HOPE is to provide assertive, tailored and evidence based clinical outreach and support alongside psychosocial support for a period of up to three months.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team. As a Mental Health Clinician working within the HOPE Program you will be committed to providing services which are recovery focused, trauma informed while promoting self-determination and collaboration with consumers, families and carers. As the Mental Health Clinician, you will provide assertive outreach support to consumers of the HOPE Program, ensuring structured interventions will be utilised focusing on assessment and management of suicidality. This will include the identification of drivers of suicide, establishment of a safety plan and treatment plan for the management of them and the application of interventions.

The Team
The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and Mental Health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
