Role overview:
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a crucial role in improving the lives of individuals by developing and implementing person-centred, evidence-based positive behaviour support plans.
Clinical Duties:
- Deliver high-quality, specialised Mental Health services for children and adolescents
- Conduct comprehensive Mental Health assessments, including home and community-based evaluations.
- Develop and manage individualised intervention plans, and regularly evaluate their effectiveness.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group treatment interventions for clients with complex needs and their families.
- Analyse client needs to design and implement culturally appropriate, evidence-based treatment programs for individuals, groups, and teams.
- Implement safe, ethical, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to ensure best practices and high-quality intervention planning.
- Engage in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of clinical practice to maintain high standards of care.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Maintain client information in accordance with organisational, professional, and NDIS requirements.
- Manage own calendar and client database.
- Provide guidance for risk assessment and safety planning.

The important stuff:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social Work and current registration by the appropriate professional association.
- General Registration with AHPRA or AASW.
- Accreditation as a Mental Health provider or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated sound experience in assessment, case management and provision of therapy for clients and their families presenting with Mental Health issues
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current C Class driver's license.
- Covid-19 Digital Certificate.
Desirable Position Criteria
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural setting, particularly relating to Aboriginal Health and Culture.
- Availability to travel across the region when required, including overnight stays. Accommodation & travel funded.
