On behalf of our client in Western Australia we are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician for a 12-week locum contract with potential for extension.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering community-based, recovery orientated, trauma informed and consumer centred Mental Health services. Including evidence-based treatment interventions to clients with Mental Health problems and conducting comprehensive assessments (domiciliary and community based).

Key Responsibilities
- Provide and facilitate the delivery of high quality specialised Mental Health services for the population in the region
- Conduct comprehensive assessments (including domiciliary and community based)
- Provide or facilitate access to evidence-based treatment interventions for clients with complex problems and their families
- Liaise with Mental Health team members, other Mental Health services and other health and welfare providers
- Participate in Mental Health promotion, education and community development programs in consultation with Community members and service providers
- Develop and maintain an extensive community-based network with hospitals, GP's, Community Health and other service providers/community organisations
- Act as a resource for Mental Health Team members and other health care providers
- Maintain adequate records and collates statistical data in accordance with the requirements of the Health Service
- Participate in intake meetings, team meetings and clinical meetings
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, case management and provision of therapy for clients and their families presenting with Mental Health issues
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of emotional, behavioural, psychological, and psychiatric disorders of clients
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Sound knowledge and skills in the implementation of relevant Mental Health and other legislation
- Evidence of inter-agency liaison and the ability to implement prevention and early intervention programs
- Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers' licence or other specialised licence class
Excellent casual rates up to $70 p/h plus super | Travel allowance + subsidised accommodation provided
