About the Position
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician or Practitioner to join our team. In this rewarding full-time role, you will provide telephone-based assessments and connect individuals with appropriate support services. The position operates during standard office hours from Monday to Friday and is initially for 12 months, with the potential for extension.
As a Mental Health Clinician/ Practitioner, you will guide clients through the complex landscape of primary care services, increase awareness of available services, and establish community linkages.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should have:
Relevant qualifications in disciplines such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Health Promotion, Public Health, Sociology, or Occupational Therapy (registration and eligibility for membership in the relevant professional body is advantageous).
Extensive experience in community Mental Health, substance use, or related fields.
Comprehensive knowledge of Mental Health services and support systems.
Excellent telephone communication skills to effectively engage and assess individuals from diverse backgrounds, including high-risk groups.
Knowledge of Mental Health and Alcohol and other drug services within the EMPHN catchment
