Job description

Mental Health Professional (2 FTE)

Broome | Salary Range:  $102,275 – $109,946

With an opportunity to become a Team Leader

An Opportunity Beckons

Passionate about healthcare, warm, out-going, authentic, caring, and inspiring? “Raise your hand if that’s you.” Who wouldn’t want to go to work with this view every day?

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we.  We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger.

If you share our values and our passion for delivering the best possible healthcare to clients, you will find a home at Boab Health Services.  You can do all of this, in the unique and wonderous Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Boab Health Services is a not-for-profit, multidisciplinary primary health care service delivering allied health, Mental Health, and care coordination services throughout the Kimberley.

This is a unique and rare opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Professional (psychologist, Mental Health nurse, occupational therapist, Aboriginal Mental Health practitioner or social worker) to join our organisation delivering Mental Health services to the people of Broome and the surrounding communities.

About the role

These roles will deliver tailored and holistic Mental Health services across the age range to individuals experiencing mild to moderate Mental Health and wellbeing concerns and will provide services to Broome as well as outreach Mental Health services to remote Aboriginal communities in the West Kimberley.  This role will work in partnership with other local health services, schools and other community organisations. There is also an opportunity with this role to step into a team leader position and would be a perfect stepping-stone for those considering a move into management.

About you

The right fit for us and our company culture is super important so if you are passionate about delivering the best possible health care we are really looking for you.  We want someone who can work with clients from all ages and walks of life.  You will thrive in this collaborative working environment of diverse team members addressing the needs of the broader community.

You will have post registration experience with evidence based psychological interventions.  Your experience, compassion, and motivation to collaborate with Aboriginal people and in rural and remote Mental Health care will be highly regarded.  You will have AHPRA registration (if applicable to your discipline) and relevant professional association membership.

Why work with us?
