About the role and where you will be working:

Southern Cross Care WA Inc. is looking for a Registered Nurse with a background in Mental Health.

As one of our valued Registered Nurses, you'll get to use your clinical expertise and skills to deliver exceptional care to our valued residents.

If you enjoy coordinating and supporting small teams of health care workers, this could be your ideal new role.

We’ll also be asking you to:

  • Deliver direct & comprehensive nursing care & individual case management
  • Coordinate external services to individual residents / clients
  • Provide education, counselling & group work services to promote improved resident health outcomes.
  • Support & educate our enrolled nurses & other health care workers

About you:

With a good five years or so of nursing experience under your belt, you may already be working in aged care or perhaps you've been contemplating moving into the aged care sector.

Once settled into your role, you'll truly appreciate knowing that you've made a genuine difference in the quality of our residents' lives.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

  • A genuine desire to work in aged care
  • An understanding of Commonwealth Aged Care Standards, Aged Care Act & Quality of Care Principles
  • Working knowledge of ACFI requirements.
  • The ability to mentor, lead & support a small team
  • A good eye for detail & resilience to multi-task whilst under pressure
  • Great interpersonal & communication skills
