Job description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people and their families? Join us at headspace as a Therapeutic Youth Worker, where you'll play a crucial role in providing therapeutic, strengths-based support to empower young individuals and their families on their journey towards improved health and wellbeing.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions through case management, counselling, family therapy, or other approved approaches.
  • Use assessment tools to understand the needs of young people and their families, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Represent the service in reviews, case conferences, and other allied activities.
  • Offer guidance to clients, using a strengths-based approach to help them address personal, health, wellbeing, family, and relationship issues.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work or Community Services.
  • Proven experience in providing therapeutic interventions for young people and their families.
  • Skills using appropriate tools to understand the unique needs of young individuals and their families.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate and confidential client records.
