Merchandise Allocator

Our client is a successful Australian-owned and family-run group of fashion companies who proudly operate a national combined network of 104 retail stores and supply to 150+ wholesale locations throughout Australia and NZ.

They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Allocator to join their team!

The Role:
The role will be accountable for the management of daily stock functions, to ensure that correct stock levels are in stores & warehouse at all times.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ensure stock levels are maintained by monitoring and replenishing stock levels in the warehouse and stores, in conjunction with the Merchandise Coordinator
• Ensure deliveries are within agreed time frames into store.
• Reporting of known stock shortages/surpluses upon delivery into stores.
• Manage the replenishment system at a style and size level in conjunction with Planning Manager.
• Conduct monthly reviews of in store stock levels against warehouse stock levels.
• Regular visits to the 3PL Warehouse will be necessary.

Requirements For The Job:

• Relevant tertiary or related qualifications are preferred. Finance, accounting, commerce degrees desirable.
• 2-3 years' of Allocations/Inventory Analyst/Planning experience within a retail environment.
• Highly developed analytical and practical skills, ability to adapt to new systems.
• Proficient to intermediate skills in Excel.
• Willingness to launch and streamline new and existing procedures and systems.
• Highly organised, detailed & focused approach to work and deadlines.
• Ability to think laterally on issues and take proactive approach to resolve them.
• A positive & proactive attitude, willing to learn!
