As part of our rapid growth trajectory, we are seeking an experienced Lab Technician andMetallurgical Technicianto join our Processing team. Reporting to the Superintendent Process Engineering, these roles will be responsible for performing mineral processing sampling duties and test work.

These roles will be an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from within the Gascoyne region.
Lab Technician role
- Daily sample analysis to ensure performance of processing plants is optimised
- Responsible for taking, sorting, weighing, drying, and testing samples
- Responsible for transferring sub-samples to sample packets while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures while avoiding contamination
- Completing all documentation, ensuring the products integrity and pedigree
- Ensure that internal QA/QC standards are met
- Experience in prestart checks, troubleshooting and auditing
About you
- 3 + years experience as a Lab Technician at a minerals processing plant
- Mineral Sands laboratory experience advantageous, but not essential
- Competent and capable with sample collection and analysis
- Strong understanding of beneficiating within mineral processing
- Working experience with Fusion, XRF including maintenance, and calibration
- Proficiency with computers and Laboratory Information Management System software
- Prior experience in mineral sands desirable but not essential
- Certificate in Laboratory Techniques or higher
- Current drivers’ licence
Metallurgical Technician role
- Daily sample collection, moisture analysis and data entry
- Collection and analysis of daily plant samples for optimisation test work of spiral separation, electrostatic and magnetic separation circuits.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies
- Stocktake of existing equipment.
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the assay laboratory as required
- Preparation of samples e.g., , drying, riffle splitting and Pulverising samples.
About you
- 3+ years mine site experience in a Met Tech position
- Mineral Sands laboratory experience advantageous, but not essential
- Wet Plant Experience
- Be willing to help with lab tech duties if required
- Current drivers’ licence
- Cert III in Laboratory Technology or Process Plant Operations or higher valued
- This role may also suit a graduate metallurgist or process engineer looking to get a start at an operational site.
