Job Description Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Metering Technician to join Service Stream in Clayton south.
About the Role
Nature of position: Permanent
Location: Clayton south
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and exchange of electricity meters
- Investigate and rectify communication faults
- Meter investigations and meter tests
- Manual meter reads
- Ensure that all tasks undertaken are performed in a manner consistent with OH&S policies and procedures of the company and relevant state and national legislation
- Act in accordance with relevant Environmental Legislation and the company’s matrix of Environmental responsibilities.
- Perform all specified duties under the Company’s ISO accredited Management System.
- Populate and return all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure regular daily contact with Supervisor
Experience Required
- Current experience in Electrical meter installation and associated services is essential
- CT Metering experience preferred but not mandatory
- A Grade electrical licence
- Current drivers licence
- National Police check
- Working with Children check
- Construction (White) Card
- VESI Training
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, with attention to detail and use of initiative.
- Positive, proactive professional approach and willingness to ‘own the job’ untill completion.
- Highly flexible, and adaptable to a dynamic ever-changing environment
- High commitment to customer service
