About the Role:
Evolve Scientific Recruitment is seeking an entry/junior level candidate to join the company as a Microbiology Lab Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Microbiological testing
- Sample receipt and preparation
- Set up and maintenance of media cultures
- Monitoring/calibration of equipment (e.g. autoclaves, pH meters, fridge etc.)
- Environmental monitoring and documentation
- General lab upkeep, such as consumable stock takes and clean up
- Driving continuous improvement
Skills & Experience:
- Qualifications in Microbiology or a related discipline is essential
- Experience in an industrial micro lab testing samples, highly desirable
- Experience in a microbiologist role in household/personal care, highly desirable
- Sound knowledge in ISO/NATA and other relevant regulatory bodies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
