We are a compounding only pharmacy. We do not have a shop front and everything sold is hand made in our three state-of-the-art labs. We make medications for specialist and GP doctors and their patients. We provide solutions for patients who cannot be treated with ready prepared proprietary medicines and need their medications custom made to their own needs.
About the role
The role is a technician's role. It involves making mixtures, cream, capsules and other medication forms from scratch. It suits a person who can work unsupervised and have a technical attitude. Ability to measure accurately and precisely and work in a clean lab is essential. It suits a flexible applicant who is a good organiser and fits well in a team but is very happy to work by themselves in a laboratory setting. An ability to be handle telephone enquiries when short handed is an advantage. Part time so suits a person after more flexible hours. Additional hours available when other techs take holidays.
Benefits and perks
Training will be provided to the applicant. We are open 9 to 5.30pm and Monday to Friday.
Skills and experience
Experience in a laboratory environment is essential whether tertiary or commercial position. Ability to measure and weigh etc accurately is essential. Must be able to work unsupervised and be very hygienic. Must also be able to handle chemicals. Telephone skills will be advantageous.
